This group rather passed me by during it's short existence (about 1975 until 1977?), but I've heard it compared to the Average White Band.

They've reconvened for a few gigs, which I heard about because Jim Mullen - a fine Glaswegian guitarist who's been on the London jazz scene for 40+ years - is involved. What I didn't know (in my ignorance) was that the band usually includes Neil Hubbard on guitar and often Mel Collins on saxophone too (former bass players include the late BF alumni, Alan Spenner & Mark Smith).

By happy chance they have a gig at Islington Assembly Hall (only a mile and a half up the road from me) next Thursday; I feel like I ought to go along on a voyage of discovery, but would still be interested in any feedback about Kokomo here. Thanks.
