indeed. my takeaways: he's at glastonbury this year (new to me). presumably the big glastonbury, not the little one like last year (r plant's doing that this year) the next album is not jazz, nor the tour. ok, maybe obvious, but.... and, of course, the biggun: tantalising us with the reference to andy and rm. who knows

I don't think there has been an official announcement from the Glastonbury (yes, the BIG one) website yet but it has been mentioned in an interview with the drummer Cherisse Osei:- Cherisse has a full schedule that will take her up to Christmas this year, as she confirms. “I start rehearsals in March for another tour with Bryan Ferry. We go the west coast of America through April, and then to Europe in May. In the summer we are playing loads of festivals, we are at Glastonbury, and Coachella Festival in Palm Springs. In the autumn, we go back to the States and do the east coast, so a full year of touring with Bryan. I am also out with Paloma Faith, doing festivals and shows with her, so rehearsals start there in March as well, so a full year on the road with Paloma as well.”http://www.bryanferry.com/cherisse-osei ... -magazine/

I had to laugh in regard to the quote referencing Andy:
“He’s an incredibly funny fellow and I really enjoy his company.”
OK. If you say so... We'll see where this ends up. Or maybe not...

What on earth is our hero thinking about or have BA just lost his Berlutis? Nobody is a bigger fan of our heroes sartorial strengths than moi-meme but the idea of sneakers with grown up clothes was first piloted many years ago by Adam Faith. It was a bad idea back then and it's a bad idea now! This together with the conscious uncoupling with Colin has me in bed with a fever. What goes on in my mind? Regards, Windswept.

I have to agree here. Whilst I'm no fashion guru even I wouldn't dress like this. Black chords with "bright white" trainers / sneakers. To be honest, the jacket & shirt are at odds with each other as well IMO. I remember a bit of film of some rehearsal somewhere for Olympia tour (I think) that showed Bryan in trainers. I, along with others thought he was wearing them for a laugh. Apparently not. A very strange choice of clothes from someone who clearly is a fashion icon.

I cannot conceive of any possible mitigating circumstance. Potentially acceptable with the appropriate sporting get up, but never ever with cords and jacket etc.. Sneakergate may even surpass Trousergate. Sometimes I feel the world might be falling apart.

When asked whether there is another chapter in the Roxy Music annals, Ferry says the following: “There are bits and pieces of new songs floating around from the last reunion (in 2001) and I will be seeing Andy Mackay, who I kind of started the band with, when I get back to the U.K.
“He’s an incredibly funny fellow and I really enjoy his company.”
Didn't realise Bryan and Andy got on so well. And didn't Bryan say that what they recorded wasn't up to previous high standards. or something along those lines. Or is this just another publicity stunt.
