Bryan Ferry appears in the latest issue of MOJO. I`d guess you Brits can buy it now.

Read the article this afternoon; interesting, but no real fresh ground covered.
Last question suggested a pared down voice & piano album to lighten and/or accelerate the recording process; I suspect BF's reply, recommending Eno as its producer, was intended to be tongue in cheek, but it would make a lot of sense.
BF tends to over-refine his recordings in the pursuit of perfection, whereas Eno was quite brutal with U2 in effectively saying "leave it alone; it's great just as it is".
Here's hoping that BF follows his own advice and books Eno as producer for a future project and adds an acoustic album to his "to do" list...

A "Bryan & Brian" collaboration would be HUGELY promotable and attract tremendous Media attention. But I won't hold my breath waiting for it to happen...
First off, would Eno want to do it? That is a BIG question and one hard to speculate on. Eno doesn't need to do it for the money (Coldplay and U2 have taken care of that issue for him...) So would it serve to meet some artistic purposes for him? Hard to say. Maybe yes, maybe no... What does the Magic 8-Ball say???

I love nearly all that BF has done. Sorry...I know it can be seen as naff by some, but it's how I feel. My favourite stuff includes RM 1&2&3&4, mamouna and a really good smattering of most of the rest. I've always loved his darker stuff. Not much of a fan of colin good, having said all that, except as a discipline contributor. So, qualifying my splurge, that's where I'm coming from. Given that....I'd really really love to hear a real eno/ferry thing especially a stripped down thing.
Snap back to reality: I'm still really keen for our ca70 year old's upcoming release to be heard in full. Vintage? Maybe not....maybe though. Let's see this all in perspective: an older geezer still doing some pretty good stuff IRSNSHO. I'll judge it on what it is...not on what it's not. Thank you and good night.

Good early Evening to You all Fellow Roxyologists and Ferryistas. This is Lori. I want to offer some thoughts on A proposed "Stripped Down " Voice and Piano Acoustic Album Project between Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno that seems to have attracted some positive attention. I may be One of a few Fans that has to DISAGREE and say NO. If since The " Mamouna " Album that Brian Eno will be brought back into the The Roxy Music Family in ANY capacity, it has to be A No-Holds-Barred proper Electric Band Album. Complete with all the Bells and Whistles that such a momentous occasion so richly deserves. I want to Hear proper Drums and Percussion and Electric Lead Guitars and Electric Bass Guitars and A String Section plus A Brass and Woodwind Section. Along with Synths and Key Boards and Pianos. plus Bryan Ferry's lush Vocals. Brain Eno can be One of many back-Ground Singers/Vocalists on the Album if He chooses to do This along with Producing.I understand that The " Stripped Down " Album would cut Recording and Producing Time and accelerate the creative process. However it would just be a " Jazz Age 2 " of sorts with Vocals This Time around. I cannot be persuaded to come aboard for that. So any Bryan Ferry/Brian Eno collaboration Album/Project will have to be a All or Nothing approach. I just feel that the " Stripped Down " idea would just be perceived as a CHEAP Half-Fast effort. That just seems not Right coming from 2 Artists Who are fastidious perfectionists Who want to to do things Right. I just don't see either of them being satisfied with that. Maybe Brian Eno has mellowed with that, I know Bryan Ferry has not. If Any One has This issue of MOJO Magazine, may You PLEASE Scan and Post it Here? I Thank You in advance. I would LOVE to read the Article/Interview and see the Pictures/Photographs with it. If There are any. Love to all Fans, Lori.

Happy Hipsters, As Monsieur Smudge said, there is little here that is not common knowledge to the averagely competent Roxologist. Albeit, our hero does give slightly more detail on why the Roxy Music studio project didn't materialise. To quote: "Well, the others in the band wanted to make a Roxy album and I guess I was intrigued. We spent a little bit of time in London having a go. But (sighs) I decided it wasn't what I wanted to do. I think I'm so used to being able to try out different people for different roles on different songs, having an unlimited palette, as it were. It's not to say that we couldn't have done something but I just wasn't really loving the process. And I wanted too much to bring in other people and do other things. That's not to say that we can never do anything together again, 'cos Andy and Phil are both really talented and Paul's a great drummer and always will be." All on all not very hopeful but you never know and a combination of puzzling over Roxy and seeing the fabulous Kink's musical ('Sunny Afternoon') has Windswept thinking that 'Roxy The Musical' might be a great project. At least it would give the boys something different to fall out about! On a general note, the article was quite pedestrian and followed a well ploughed furrow. Generic questions beget generic answers. a bien tôt, Windswept.

Thanks a lot WS2. That was sheding quite som light. BF rose to the occation and revealed how it really was from his point of view. At least, that`s my impression. He said some more than just a few remarks. It made me feel better. He didn`t rule out the album.

what can it mean Roxy The Musical? they have then added 18 songs, there are some very good, some are improving (Manzanera). Is the Musical an instrumental thing ( landscape ) ?
