According to this weeks radio times Mr. Ferry is due to appear on next weeks Later with Jools Holland on Tuesday night with the longer version (Meaning possibly an extra song by BF if usual appearances are anything to go by) on Friday on BBC 2 television.

Getting to like the blue suit, and it's nice to see Jodie & Bobbie out if the Jazz Age dresses for once. Thought the audience were a bit slow at the end of VP, guess they haven't been to many BF gigs.
Hope we get another track from Avonmore on Friday.

I thought it was very interesting what David Gilmour had to say about the special chemistry that existed when original band members played together and that somehow it was not possible to properly recreate that with other musicians.. as if to prove a point a few minutes later Bryan and the current band did their version of VP......

I saw LdL and VP on youtube.

LTL was pretty good, certainly much better then the loud and blaring version I saw live last month. Fonzi T definitely helps "cushion" BF's vocals. This version will help sell some copies of Avonmore.

But why in heaven's name would VP be dragged out of the mausoleum yet one more time for the Jools show? VP has been waaaayyy over-exposed in recent years. Give it a rest. This version is barely Roxy Lite...

I thought BF was on very good form in last night's show. Good to hear two more songs from the new album and a decent little interview (including an extraordinary clip with Twiggy which I'd certainly never seen before!). Driving Me Wild was the highlight for me.

Mes Amis,
Our hero did well on Jools and certainly got top billing on Friday's extended version with three numbers and an interview. Then again, he did introduce Mr.Holland to Mrs.Holland so good representation is doubtless assured.
In fact, given that the closer, 'One Night Stand' replaced Tuesday's 'VP' (Bryan must have read DJC's comment) he actually got to air four tracks across the two shows.
Having listened to seven of the songs from the new album and having heard four played live, Windswept is feeling more and more positive about 'Avonmore' and can't wait for launch day.
That said, as his positivity grows for the album, his reservations grow regarding the current band's guitar line up. Windswept has to be honest, there is a real lack of depth in sound. Listen to the 2013 live rendition of 'Same Old Blues' on Bryan's own web site and you'll know what I'm talking about. Let's have Ollie and Chris back wielding their axes with Monsieur Good on the old Joanna ASAP - it's becoming quite urgent!
On the positive front, our hero's new suit is magnificent. By the look of the drape and the cut of those wider lapels, it's one of A&S's finest but rather alarmingly, it's the same colour as one that Windswept had made about eighteen months ago albeit his is in corduroy whereas this looks to be velvet. Still, we have to keep away from the same bars!
Staying with Jools but digressing a little, it was nice to see Paul Rogers - another bonny lad from the north-east. What a super voice he has and Windswept loved his soul renditions. Mind you, on the sartorial front, the less said the better. Whatever was he thinking about? Perhaps there is a business opportunity advising maturing rock aristocracy on what to wear? Thankfully Jools and Bryan have fully got their act together!
a bien tôt,
Windswept
