I feel bad for anyone who was due to see him in the next couple of weeks but it sounds like there was no option. Hopefully he will make a good recovery and be charged up and ready to go for next May.

This advert appeared in a Scottish Newspaper yesterday. Five dates sold out.

Cher Roxy,
It's nice to see the dates sold out so fare in advance. A testimony to the great reception for 'Avonmore' perhaps?
That said, although I don't want to do myself or anybody else out of a fandango, the back to back nature of this schedule is a concern and I do hope that it won't prove too much for the boy's voice.
Few have our hero's work ethic but the important thing is that he remains well. At least within the UK he won't be faced with all of the air travel that can play havoc with the old Hobson's Choice.
Personally, I've been lucky, recent shows that I've attended (Dublin '14, Brighton & RAH '13) have found him in fine voice but it's clear from recent tapes and interviews that things are very variable.
Just hope Geordie's favourite minstrel get's well soon.
Salutations,
Windswept

Elegantly Ageing Hipsters,
Do any of you renowned Roxologists out there know what is going on with this tour?
Gigs either side of Stuttgart have been canceled but Ticketmaster are still selling tickets for the Porsche arena!
Un peut bizarre n'est-ce-pas?
Salutations,
W2

Very strange indeed, Monsieur Windswept. Seems they didn't get the news ... OK, we are little bit slower here in the south than elsewhere in Germany (except from the cars they produce in Stuttgart :-) ). I tried to contact 'easy ticket' but nobody would answer the phone. So I don't know if I have to send my ticket back or rather wait for new tour dates. Glad to have my copy of 'Avonmore' - best songwriting since many years (or decades ??).

Similar story in Bavaria... My friend there, who bought our tickets for the Munich show, contacted Eventim and that was the first the agents had heard about the cancellation.

We've decided to opt for refunds, as the venue was all standing (and not sold out, as far as I know), so re-purchasing for any rescheduled date should hopefully prove easy enough.
