A complimentary 4 star review in the Guardian (from their jazz critic too):

Ageing Hipsters,
John Fordham sums it all up so well.
A great review and justly reserved.
I can't wait for Monday.

Windswept

wow, been scanning the Comments on the Guardian, and some are pretty nasty! If some of you have an account there, login and give them a piece of your mind. Brutal!

I think some of those folks have pretty boring lives if they have to spend so much their time writing so much bile about someone they don't like. :(

We all have different opinions. There is lots of music that is not to my taste but I wouldn't waste my time writing about it and being so nasty about the artist concerned.

8-)

Fellow Dilettantes & Flappers,
I couldn't agree more with the great Roxy's sentiment.
Why people behave in this way defeats me - the only conclusion I can come up with is that their own life has been a huge disappointment to them.
Happily we don't have any of those badly dressed vitriolic infidels frequenting this particularly hallowed cyber hall.
Can't wait for Monday - my bow tie has arrived from Charvet. All I need now is the album and some tickets for a TBFO gig!
Regards,
Windswept
