It's certainly well played and OT turns in a nice performance. But in the end it's still an undistinguished blues song that IMHO ranks as one of the more forgettable tunes in the BF catalog.

forgettable for you DCJ, but not for some of us, eh Ian? I think it's nice to hear some songs rehashed, makes the catalogue interesting. If Bryan digs some up, then he has good reason. Play it again Sam.

Erland, I'm glad you like this track. But as for me, I can think of plenty of other lost songs from the BF catalog I would prefer to hear resuscitated.

Blues of this sort just don't hold my attention; they strike me as very predictable and, dare I say it, boring. I feel similarly about If It Takes All Night from Country Life. Just my opinion...

I quite like Same Old Blues. It has a good groove. Not sure if I want to hear it at a live show though. You only get about 20 songs, so it seems like a waste. However,I'd prefer that any day than hear the same songs on every tour.

While SOB is not my favorite song, I agree with Ian that it is good for BF to bring out new (or new old) tunes for live performances. So in that context I can't complain about SOB. And as the clip demonstrates, the band plays the song very well.

Liked it.
Liked OT a lot. Liked the singers. Liked the drummer's verve. Liked the various middle aged men too. Surprisingly enjoyable.
