I was lucky enought to attend the Olympia show multiple times and FYP at O2. Of course I liked both. Still i give en edge to BF. (Where did you find the setlist of the dvd?)

Monsieur or Madame Oberon,
I couldn't agree more.
I saw "FYP" in Sydney. The set list was great, the performance note perfect and the set visuals stunning But, although the casual observer would not have noticed, to the seasoned Roxologist the frisson of previous reunions was a little abscent. Our heroes looked a little strained. It could have been a result of a ticket debacle they experienced out there but who knows?
"Olympia", which I was lucky enough to catch at the fabulous Vienna State Opera House, was a triumph in every regard - our hero and his musical trubadours were on fire!
Conclusion - of course I'd buy either DVD but "Olympia" is the priority.
Regards,
Windswept (Monsieur)

There is/was a clip of said show on the facebook link of BF.com, if it was the full show it had an interesting setlist. Does beg the question what would fans rather have, this or the FYP tour cd/dvd?

The clip is still on the BF facebook page or you can see it here:-

The set list for the Lyon gig can be found in the relevant VRM tour page, Oberon. I've cut & pasted it here, though:

Monday, July 25, 2011 - Theatre Antique de Fourvieres, Lyon, France

I Put A Spell On You - Slave To Love - Don't Stop The Dance - Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues - If There Is Something - Make You Feel My Love - You Can Dance - Alphaville - Reason Or Rhyme - Oh Yeah - Like A Hurricane - Tara - Bitter Sweet - Avalon - My Only Love -What Goes On - Sign Of The Times - Love Is The Drug - All Along The Watchtower - Let's Stick Together - Hold On I'm Coming - Jealous Guy

The Lyon setlist will be very welcome on DvD.
I agree with Windswept - for me there was little or no chemistry between band members on the FYP tour. Earlier reunions were a true delight but one or two members really looked as if they'd rather be anywhere else other than on that stage at that time. The setlist was great for fans but didn't engage with those in the audience who were along for the ride and my distinct impression was many were bored rigid. Add to that the indecent haste with which BF raced between one song and the next (at his least 'chatty', which is really saying something!) and it really fell flat with me (plus I have never heard sound so appallingly bad as at the O2). If the guys can't engage with each other let alone the audience then I'd prefer it if that was their swansong and be left with the happier memories of what preceded 2011.
By contrast, the Olympia BF was relaxed, clearly having fun and surrounded by such a tight, note-perfect band. The last night at Hammersmith truly felt like a party. If anything, BF seems to be on even better form this year so the Autumn should be a real treat.

Did you mean Shepherds Bush Empire?

Wasn't the FYP tour after Bryan announced that the expected Roxy album had been shelved ? I can't remember. But if it was, then things within the band must have been tense, I assume.

Amazon in the UK have a standard and deluxe version of this available to pre-order now, with a release date of 23/9/13.

Cher UKRichard,
Thanks for this.
As you would expect I was straight into cyber space to order the HD de-luxe version from those tax diddlers, Amazon.
I note it comes with a CD - nice touch. It will enable all elegantly ageing hipsters to relive that 'Olympia' moment.
Shame it wasn't recorded at Vienna State Opera House, that venue was so cool.
Regards,
Windswept.

I suspect I'll do the same; just a pity (given the £10 price difference) that a handful of tracks appear to have been omitted in order to squeeze the remainder on to one CD. Far better to have had the full show split over two shorter CDs; CD manufacture is as cheap as chips, so maybe it was the packaging (i.e. casing) cost which was the driver? Still a shame, though from an obsessive completist viewpoint! ;)
