Again many thanks for all the information Avondale and Roxydude!
I have been in Edinburgh once, but that was ca 17 years ago and I was on a cycling holiday (well "I am Dutch, so I cycle"

) and staying on a campsite near the city. I remembered I visited the Castle and some monuments on a hill (?

I don't remember anymore). What I do remember was the great atmosphere and indeed the historic Old Town and that I wanted to come back sometime and see some more! Well being an archaeologist/museologist and interested in history and also a longtime fan of our Bryan, I can only predict it will be a splendid two day visit to Edinburgh!
So Steve and others: shall we meet afterwards in Deacon Broadies on 435 Lawn Market

When its rainy and cold I will wear a lightblue coat and I am with a friend (I don't know the colour or her coat

).
We will look out for a 25 year old Bryan with a black leather jacket and a dark long scarf
