I don't think the review said anything unfair. I didn't think I implied that it did.

BF's voice is not very strong these days. Sometimes it seems to sound fine in various Youtube clips. Other times it sounds weak. Given his health issues back in the Spring, he has actually carried on rather well over the course of a long tour with lots of travel and air flights.

you didn't DCJ. i was commenting on the other comment that the reviewer was a banker (or something that might rhyme with it) :)

Considering how long he's been 'on the road now' with this tour I think Bryan's done brilliantly - not one show cancelled and pushing 70 8-)

I had a bad experience with getting backstage with an approved backstage pass after the Strathmore show in Maryland. I have been a fan since the early 70's and this opportunity seems to come once in a lifetime. I flew in from Florida to see Bryan again, paid top dollars for our tickets, and couldn't believe that I won the pass to get backstage. I was in heaven and going to meet my idol and then abruptly and rudely was told to get out by a security person. It seemed quite unreal and it broke my heart.
It seems such a shame and really, he was looking for some type of pay off. Frankly, they had already checked my pass and said I was okay to get in...so sad...I know that Bryan wouldn't have this happen. I felt like WillyWonker for a bit and won the golden ticket!
Not sure if there is a publicist or someone I can speak to regarding this but any assistance would be appreciated.
His voice is as smooth and his performance still as I remember it to be. Excellent concert and thank you again for the memories Bryan... until next time..

Friday, Fox Theater, Oakland Ca. I thought Bryan was in good voice. I was worried because of his vocals on the last two collections. Usually the more back up singers you have the worse the vocal. Not the case here, in fact I thought they were mixed back for many songs. Jorja had a equipment problem and gave us a blast of feedback. Oliver had injured a finger and Jeff Thall replaced him for this show. Chris Spedding's solo at the end of My Only Love brought the house down, WOW! It seemed to me that they rushed through The Main Thing-Spell-Slave. They took their time with Tom Thumb, If there is somthing and Hurricane. Loved the show and the venue, 2 blocks from where he played ATGB tour. I just wish he would tour here more often.

Jeff Thall substituted at Bryan's show in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre as well; he did a superb job considering that he was reading off of sheet music. Oliver Thompson came out to play on the final three songs: Jealous Guy, Hold On (I'm Coming), and All Along the Watchtower - I think Bryan intended to close with Hold On, but decided to perform an additional encore once Oliver joined the stage (He did that cheeky grin whilst looking at his wristwatch routine to tease the final song). Good to know that Oliver's finger injury is not serious.

This was my first Ferry concert and it was truly a magnificent theatrical production that I won't soon forget. His vocals were strong, and the band was tight - can't go wrong with Paul Thompson and Chris Spedding! The audience behaved themselves, and I sensed that Ferry was pleased to know that he is appreciated here in the US after his long touring absence. I can only hope that he makes good on his promise to come back soon (although I assume that's his standard parting message).
