Hm, the atumn tour - an evening with Bryan Ferry

Maybe the show will be 90 minutes, one half with the TBFO without
vocals and the other half including one or two tracks from his new album ( if it see the light of day at that point ) and the rest is a best of remix.

I saw Bryan and his band during the Olympia tour two times. A great show, the band was full of energy and power. And Bryan was in good, very good form.

And now maybe we see a half Colin Good show while B.F. is sitting in front of a chair and listening ? Or is he dancing around the Orchestra ?

I have no great expectations.

I hope we get more details before these tickets go on sale as to a possible show format. Ticket prices are not cheap.

Touring with a big band is never inexpensive, and BF's Autumn '13 Tour will feature a very large ensemble given that it will include both his regular band and the BFO. It doesn't surprise me that ticket prices "are not cheap" as roxydude phrases it; they have to be to insure that the tour doesn't turn in to an economic loss.

Maybe BF and the gang will make it across the Atlantic, but the economics of any BF tour of the USA is always a bit dicey. I think a US leg of the tour will only happen if BF also has a new album where he sings. He can get on Letterman as a singer, but I seriously doubt that they would be interested in a BFO instrumental performance.

I should really expand on my "not cheap" ticket comment.

I was more than happy to pay these sort of prices for Roxy/BF last year, indeed, Vienna set me back 130 euros for a ticket.

I'm not quite so keen to pay £65 though if a large portion of the performance is devoted to the orchestra, if the show length is around 1 hour 40 in total.

I'll inevitably end up annoyed if I don't have a ticket though so I'll probably buy.

Cher Roxydude,
Have faith, I feel a spectacular in the making - don't make yourself annoyed. Buy on Friday or regret it forever!
Believe you me, it's not the ticket price that worries me. It's more the cost of Mrs.Windswept's rig out!
Regards,
Windswept

Lol, how are you my friend?

Yes, you're probably right it'll be spectacular. It's just the new album isn't my sort of thing but missing a BF show isn't either so...

Edit: OK I got 5th row stalls tickets ;) :D

Mes Amis,
Despite confusion about when tickets actually go on sale I made my investments this AM.
Ultimately I couldn't decide between the RAH and The Dome so I bought both - I must be loosing my mind and I hope to God that Mrs.Windswept doesn't demand a new rig out for each!
Regards,
Windswept

I received an email last night about pre-sale tickets going on sale today, so I've also booked mine for Salford Lowry...
