Mes Amis,
All went well for the Windswepts. They are happily seated at The Dome, fourth row centre.
Now the wardrobe planning has to start. The butler will be briefed.
a bien tôt,
W

As one who continues to see BF perform overseas, I found the pre-sale process for his next round of UK gigs close to shambolic. :(

I gave up initially, as I refused to buy further unnecessary copies of the new album; this meant that the tickets available to me were even worse when I returned to the fray later on, having read J.O'B's helpful advice regarding the opt-out clause.

I've looked into London, Brighton & Oxford and concluded that I may find better single ticket options available to me on Friday, when the general sale begins.

I think saving the front rows, whether two or four of them, for "VIPs" is very short sighted; those seats should be for real fans, not just those with the most money.

It was a minefield buying tickets today and as our host commented "too many trapdoors" to catch us out. I can't remember the last time I spent so long trying to get some decent tickets online. I still have one show that I am taking a chance in the general sale with and hoping to get offered something better than what was on offer today.

So far the following agents are selling tickets on Friday:-

http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/Bryan-Fer ... ist/945153

http://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/bryan-ferry-tickets

http://www.aloud.com/tickets/bryan-ferry

http://www.gigsandtours.com/tour/bryan-ferry/

http://www.seetickets.com/tour/bryan-ferry/

http://www.ticketline.co.uk/bryan-ferry#bio

Add to those the individual venues that may sell through their own box office which adds to the difficulties.

At least in the "old days" when you stood in a queue at the box office you knew exactly what was happening and what kind of ticket you might end up with if you slept in and didn't join the queue early enough!!

Good luck to anyone who is trying again on Friday! :)

I didn't see a separate link for VIP package for Edinburgh on the Ticketmaster list, but on the Usher Hall page it says VIP tickets will be through pre-sale only. Did anyone here actually get VIP tickets for the Usher Hall this morning?

Hi Valerie,
I didn't see a VIP link also, but somehow I managed to get row B tickets and I didn't pay a VIP price. Maybe it's not in the centre. :? I don't care!
Good luck on Friday!

So managed to get tickets for five shows - Harrowgate, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Sheffield and Blackpool.

Was wanting to go VIP for one show and thought the Glasgow show would be perfect. Could only get pre-sale VIP through O2 priority and they were only offering from row C. Do people think the first two rows are actually gone or there may be a chance of getting one of them in the general sale on Friday?

Cher Scott,
This is a hell of an itinerary.
You are going to be giging like a banshee!
Windswept is envious albeit as each Ferry show necessitates a new wardrobe for his good lady, such a program it is out of his reach.
Brighton will more than suffice and he has duped Mrs.W by explaining that the fourth row is for VVIPs (Very..Very…).
As he has the laminate from last year's show, he's planning on presenting it to her on the night and hoping that she won't notice the year change!
a bien tôt,
W

Ha ha! Have a great time in Brighton!

Whenever Bryan tours I normally book a week off work and go the shows during that week. Unusual this year that both Scottish shows have a couple of English shows in between them - I wonder if this was intentional or if perhaps a venue was not available at the required time.

Just the VIP for Glasgow to get but going to hold off until tomorrow and see if there are some better seats available. I'm sure I'll be as 'whacked' as Bryan by the end of my week!

The Edinburgh Usher Hall still have a few decent non-VIP price seats available through their own online box office for rows C, D & E.
