Given Bryan's work pace and the low probability of a further 8 Roxy Music albums, this is the sort of thing I like to see him have a crack at for his next three albums: 1. The New Roxy Music Album 2. A covers album of traditioanl folk songs - no chance of quickly following a Roxy record with originals and I have really liked some of his more accoustic folky stuff such as Lowlands Low. He could also duet with one or two guests - I think is recent husky voice would provide a good contrast to a really pure high pitch female tone (may even get a hit with one of the new trendy girl singer types) 3. An album by Ferry and Eno, very minimalist, electronic and experimental (large writting input from Eno to speed up recording process and stop it becoming bloated) Any thoughts? Vinny |

As much as I prefer Bryan's self penned material over most of the covers I do think that the avenue of 'themed' covers albums is something he would regret not having done more of. 'As Time Goes By' & 'Dylanesque' are two examples that where very successful. (I am not a big fan of Dylanesque) What next: 'Elvisesque', 'Beatlesesque', a duets album, just imagine Kate Bush & Bryan Ferry doing 'Strictly Confidential'. I am sure there are plenty of avenues that he could have gone down that would have made section F on my CD shelf a few inches wider. J.O'B. |

Given Bryan's age and the fact that he was obviously such a Dylan fan, I have often wondered if the music/lyrics of Leonard Cohen meant anything to him - I guess probably not as he has rarely mentioned him but some of his songs would seem ripe for the BF treatment. Any suggestions for Cohen classics or any other writer's work you would like to see Bryan interpret? |

Bryan did some great duets. I had this strange dream. Truly True !!. Bryan Ferry and Morrissey singing In Every Dreamhome a Heartache in my bedroom. In the past Morrissey sang Street Life (a one off in Sweden). I went to Morrissey (Rotterdam Watt) - Great concert. |

>>I have often wondered if the music/lyrics of Leonard Cohen meant anything to him<< I don't think Bryan is a particular fan of Leonard Cohen, as he has never (as far as I'm aware) mentioned him in an interview. I'm a huge fan of Leonard's work and am going to see him in Liverpool next month. As for songs of LC's I'd like to see Bryan cover how about - Dance Me To The End Of Love, The Gypsy's Wife, There Ain't No Cure For Love, A Thousand Kisses Deep, Suzanne, Seems So Long Ago Nancy. Ones I couldn't see him covering - Hallelujah, Democracy, Don't Go Home With Your Hard-On, Closing Time (though the last might be fun as a concert closer!) |

Haha, lucky you Bryan and Morrissey performing a private duet....That would be my dream come true I saw Morrissey last month in Manchester....fantastic!!! and he also does "Street Life" great justice for a one off on stage!!!!! |

Kate Bush & Bryan Ferry doing 'Strictly Confidential' - Now that would be extra special, John. My favourite male and female singers doing one of my favourite Roxy songs as a duet - Wow! Bring it on ! (I heard some years ago from a supposed 'reliable source', that Ferry had planned to record a duet with Kate Bush in Paris, but on the day of the recording, KB had a throat infection and couldn't do it - not sure if there's any truth in that !!) Anyone else hear about that? Robert |

I think teaming Bryan up with other artists is a tricky move. Do you do what was done with Tom Jones a few years back and put him together with a few current vocalists and bands? Here's my thoughts: Bryan Ferry & Duffy: Chain Reaction (Mamouna track, NOT Diana Ross) Bryan Ferry & AIR: Mother Of Pearl Bryan Ferry & Antony Hegarty: Ladytron Bryan Ferry & Bat For Lashes: I Thought Bryan Ferry & Brian Eno: On Some Faraway Beach Bryan Ferry & Depeche Mode: Blue Dress Bryan Ferry & Goldfrapp: 2HB Bryan Ferry & Grace Jones: Love Is The Drug Bryan Ferry & James Morrison: This Island Earth Bryan Ferry & Keane: Just Like You Bryan Ferry & The Killers: Street Life Bryan Ferry & Peter Gabriel: Sunset. |

Inspired by the fact that "One Way Love" is pretty much the mightiest recording of the decade (by any artist) and by a somewhat recent purchase of a #1's collection, I would say that my dream Bryan Ferry covers album would be one devoted to the output of The Supremes. |
