I like this ... Despite the title - not too keen on the programme ! I like some of the lines and the dark mood .. Sounded a bit simple to begin with but on more listens it becomes more intense... Really good to hear some original lyrics that sound considered . Wasn't sure of the voice to begin with but the I thought about it and feel it's better to hear him work within his limitations ... Less stressfull listen ..

A big improvement on some of the mixes of u can dance, sounded to me like Ferry doing Icehouse (hey little girl)doing Ferry.Songs from his next album seem to dripping out at the moment.

You sure? I ask, because what you say is quite a heavy statement. I think all of us are expecting the first small news regarding the new album any day now.

Versions of u can dance, shameless, the music sheet for alphaville on the Ferry recording studio video (okay only 2 certain and one big maybe) and also the fact that I don't want to was/is going to be on it so going by possibly 10 or 11 tracks being on the album thats a third of the album accounted for.

Just heard the Shameless track - whilst this is an excellent track (can't stop playing it !!), I suspect the "real" version on the new album will be considerably better. Looking forward to its release - does anyone know when ?? ;)

All we know is that March 2010 notoriously has been changed to (early?) summer 2010.

Where has it being said that Shameless will be on BF's new album?

I thought it was on Groove Armada's album?

It is on Black Light but Bryan will also have his own version, "Shameless(Rock 'n Roll Desire)" on his solo album as he stated on his website.

8-)

i like it. the great man is venturing into different territory and moving with the times. sometimes it works. sometimes it doesn't. it's easy to look back with hindsight and say that Avalon was rubbish or F&B was worse. But at the time (The 80s) all bands were releasing lush overproduced records. Roxy had to change or die. I don't think songs like VP, Pyjamarama, Strand, etc would have sold in the 80s. I think Bryan realised this with the relative failure of The Bride Stripped Bare. All great songs (well, almost all !) but possibly wrong for the time.
