I like it all - Beautiful and Bonkers . Reason or Rhyme is my fave ( at the moment) brought a tear to my eye .. Well, maybe Just like you - or perhaps love is the drug .. I hope it does well - if not immediately in the charts... then as soundtrack. I don't care that he isn't playing on it - He's the composer - or joint composer and it's an interesting experiment . My first thought was that it was like dreaming of being young and listening to Jungle Book but it was all Roxy Music songs :))

I've listened to it all, rather liked it. I thought Bogus Man was especialy good-had a great jungle rhythm vibe. I Thought was simply outstanding.

I must confess to laughing out loud to Do The Strand, not in a bad way or anything like that, but I did get this image in my head of Laurel & Hardy doing this mad dance to it! haha sorry..... it sounds so much different from the original. Which for me, isn't such a bad thing.... :o

I'm really lovin these so far

Just Like You
This Island Earth

"My first thought was that it was like dreaming of being young and listening to Jungle Book but it was all Roxy Music songs"

Eh, ok, each to their own :? ;)

My first thought (and last as I will never waste time on listening to it again) was that it was like listening to a Laurel and Hardy soundtrack, only this is embarrassing not funny.... but it was all just a bunch of old codgers mucking about with Roxy Music songs. Dreadful

Yup each to their own ... Thank god for that ... Although I quite like your Laurel and Hardy reference as well ..

Spot on Mr Rifff. What next? A cover of If There is Something with someone blowing a piece of paper through a comb, or the Amazona guitar solo being played on a Kazoo.

That's what's missing a kazoo - I'll bet there's one in the mix somewhere . Such a fabulous album - not over produced , free spirited - almost like the first album in it's squeaks and squalls - a simple idea which works on so different levels .. Far superior to Dylanesque and half of Olympia - Why it should outrage some people is beyond me ?! It's an experiment - an aside and i'm so happy that it exists . Thank god we got this before or instead of a posh copy of the first album with a few Peel sessions thrown in .

I didn't think I'd warm to this. But I have.
It's fun and would make a great soundtrack album.
