Here's an interesting quote from The Standard article: "The paying members of the audience wanted to hear more of Ferry [who sang two songs with the band before sitting down to eat a cutlet] but his wife Amanda was on hand to explain. “It’s an instrumental album,” she said." Hmmm. That's a sign that BF might have bit of trouble trying to sell an album that he doesn't sing on. |

"Paying" members of the audience? For an album launch party? At Annabel's? Surely not! I thought it was supposed to be an exclusive "members and their guests only" club. Maybe the Evening Standard knows differently or maybe it's just sloppy journalism... |

No doubt the music was delightful, the invitees enchanting and the food truly scrumptious - but surely the hidden gem was the selection of bespoke JW blue label cocktails named after some of our favourite tunes. These are a must for the next big beano at Avondale Towers! John - did you pick up the recipes by any chance.....and can you share with us? |

Thanks John. It did seem strange to have "paying customers" at such an affair. But the question remains as to whether some members of the audience were a bit piqued at the idea that BF was not singing on TJA. |

I stand corrected on this one, I have been reliably informed that Annabelle's has a members club and part of that is that they can purchase tickets to events like this. J.O'B. |
