The Zermatt gig in April sounds just what some of us had in mind a few months ago when we wished out loud for something like BF Unplugged.

Just a pity that it's taking place somewhere so expensive and inaccessible; the nearest airports, Zurich & Geneva, are both 240 km (about 150 miles) from Zermatt! :(

Anyone planning to attend?

Merry Smudge,
Very interesting!
I won't be going as I'm booked up for both TRAH & Brighton next year and if I spring another one on Mrs.Windswept it could have repercussions albeit she is a happy bunny since Santa brought her handbag.
That said, I'd love to hear a review of this - it sounds very interesting and I continue to think "Ferry Unplugged" has legs.
Happy Holidays,
Windswept

I'm going :)

I saw him with Roxy Music the last time he was in Switzerland too, in 2010 at the Montreux Jazz Festial.
I really liked that show, I'm excited to see him "unplugged", which contrasts a lot with his Roxy Music past. I will post a review ;)

For those still undecided:

you have to consider that you have to stay at a hotel in zermatt (these are getting booked out rather quickly due to the festival and the ski season which lasts still in april in zermatt). After the concert there is no way to get back down the valley, (zermatt allows no cars and there are no more trains/buses) so you have to stay in zermatt. You can get some attractive combined packages: hotel stay+concert ticket on their website since the concert is expensive (even for swiss standards ;) )
