"Ferry Fan Big Time

Typical Ferry sound. Undertones of other earlier work, but hey that's why I love it! Worth the wait."

Is it a case of clearing the shelf from Bryan? Does he now release a collection of tits and bits that have been lying around? Some of the songs seem to be from the Alphaville project.

I remember "Whatever Gets You Through The Night" mentioned in the Mojo magazine`s big Roxy article from Dec. 1995. Btw., at the same time he mentions that there is a tour of Europe to attend to, complete with 76-piece orchestra and 76-piece choir. "Oh", the journalist comments. -Anyone?

Robert Plant covered "Song To The Siren" on his 2002 "Dreamland" album. That was nealy 6 minutes of boring wailing.

I remember hearing WGYTTN on the Alphaville boot and being disappointed - it sounded uninspiring compared to the rollicking Lennon original. I hope Bryan makes it an up-tempo stomper.

Rubbish. If only our Bryan could manage to put together albums as good as Robert Plant has done latterly. I (as a massive Roxy, and big Bryan Ferry, fan) am beginning to look forward more to Plant's September release as compared to Bryan's October one.

But I live in hope that Olympia will prove me wrong.............

No point in Ferry doing a rollicking version as Lennon has already done that. The bootlegged version Ferry did showed how he can cover a song and make it sound like his own.

The version on the new album is not exaclty the same as the bootlegged version
