Roxy,
Un tres grand merci!
Fabulous little video - I love this stuff and could watch them play it for hours.
The BFO, what a stroke of genius. Can't wait for the gig.
Regards,
Windswept.

Bryan should have showcased the soundtrack with a major US city cross promotion of the film.

...he would have if everyone lived in the USA...any idea how much that would cost - flying band&crew, hotels & transport, just to promote a movie??

who's gonna pay for that??? and the timing is too tight to attempt to get a 'jazz age' tour in with it...

give bf's team a break - they must have finished with gatsby in months ago and moved on.

I should have expanded my original post. The film's marketing budget should have been used to showcase BFO at premiere aftershow parties in NY, LA and Chicago with guest singers from both soundtracks. US network morning and night shows would have lapped it up and it would equate to substantial publicity and soundtrack sales.

Cher Zarathustra,
What a brilliant marketing idea but something that requires not only somebody of your genius but a level of forward planning on behalf of the film and music industry.
The latter apears to be often in very short supply particularly with all the post production issues associated with this movie.
Shame, it would have been quite unique.
Regards,
Windswept

Seems the (main) soundtrack album is doing very nicely indeed - regardless of the rights or wrongs about promotion - in the US at least.

The Great Gatsby Soundtrack is No.1 on the iTunes UK Soundtracks chart and No.3 on their overall UK album chart, whilst 'A Selection of Yellow Cocktail Music' is at No.40 on their soundtrack chart.
On the official UK album chart, the main soundtrack album is at No.8 on the Compilation Chart.
All in all, this looks like a rip-roaring success on this side of the pond too.
