Decadent, Debauched Hipsters, I trust that you have all being doing your homework and have, by now, watched the documentary. Frankly, I was knocked out by it. Seeing how the arrangements were arrived at and listening to the band members describing the sounds they were aiming for was such a huge thrill. Colin Good is a great talent — the way he can just pick up on tunes and translate them is peerless. What a brave project that whole album was and that has to be down to Geordie's favourite son. At the end of the day, they are his songs — to have the vision and creativity to see them translated in that way is a testimony to somebody who is completely committed to his craft and who will never rest on his laurels. I hope we see those Paul Colin images animated as back drop visuals in the UK stage show and in a tour brochure! Brilliant and J O'B, thanks for posting the link. Can't wait to see these guys in concert. Regards, Windswept. |

It would be great to know the tracks they recorded and rejected or hopefully there may be a second album on the way? The strains of 'Sea Breezes' sounded so cool. Regards, Windswept |

Dear WS2 I really yearn for sea breezes live....especially though in NON-jazz form... Having said that, I really enjoyed the documentary. It helped me enjoy the whole jazz age vibe. I do feel it is a quality project from the maestro. |

Debauched Hipsters, Entering this hallowed cyber hall is such a humbling experience. You Roxologists leave no note unheard! Perhaps we should, like judo, start a dan ranking system to signify greatness beyond a black belt - albeit given our subject matter perhaps it should be a black tie? Regards, Windswept. |

Dear ws2 Please don't encourage our OCD list-authoring obsession further!! |
