Thank you for thinking of me.
Unfortunately I was not there in person as I'm saving myself for RAH & Brighton but thanks to UKRichard I found this red button thing and well, my flabber was well and truly gasted!
The set was absolutely fabulous, what a great backdrop — the cocktail of the rock and jazz band with the BBC Orchestra was sublime.
It was good to see Enrico Tomasso back in the BFO fold. Collectively those boys blew up a complete storm, Ollie Thompson's guitar work was impeccable and our hero and his flappers were just perfection and boy, what a jacket - I don't know were the hell I'm going to get one of those from!
The highlight of the highlights for me was "Can't Let Go", I love that song and he made it sound as louche and dramatic as ever.
All in all another great testimony to our hero's creativity and thank God those Roxologists that think that Groundhog day should have kicked in after "Siren" in '75 never got their way, we'd have missed the fact that one of Ferry's great strengths is to gather absolutely the best musicians around him.
Anyway, I go to bed deeply envious of all you who were there but very excited about November. With all these rehearsals in advance it's going to be brilliant!
