Given the success of the current tour might we not see a dvd/live cd to follow with the dvd covering one of the more recent shows (Edinburgh or Glasgow maybe) and the cd featuring the same show and the songs played at the beginning of the tour which for whatever reason didn't get an airing in the autumn tour.

There were no cameras at the Glasgow show

Despite the sound dropping out on the vocal microphone for part of two numbers, I hope the entire show (which was another corker!) makes it on to DVD. I'd rather have the whole show "warts 'n all" than have those songs omitted.

I don't think PA drop outs etc will be a problem with today's technology when producing a DVD.

As long as the signal from the vox mic made it in good shape to the computer used for recording the gig things there should be no problem. Then it doesn't matter what happened on the way to the PA system. But if for some reason the signal from the mic to the recording computer was disrupted/corrupted then the problem becomes more of a, well, problem.

That's what I was thinking.

Given the response to the tour from fans and media alike a DVD would surely be a popular move. I just hope they don't leave it too long before releasing one if they opt to do this. I guess it depends on what Bryan plans next: whether the New Year promises further shows combining the orchestra and band (he does seem to like to play his stately homes in the UK in summer) or finishes the WIP new album and puts the orchestra/jazz hybrid on hold.

No matter what, the shows this autumn have been a resounding artistic (and hopefully commercial) success for him. Interviews always portray him as insecure and full of self-doubt so maybe this will have been a real boost for him.

Hard to say what will transpire in re to a CD/DVD of the recent Brit Tour. Presumably someting will be released but it won't be for a while. Maybe in time for next year's Xmas?

Clearly the Brit Tour was a resounding artistic success. No question about that. In terms of financial success, it almost certainly operated in the black, but how much in the black is subject to speculation. It was such a huge band to travel with that the 'carrying cost" of the tour must have been substantial. And the venues, while not small, were not huge in terms of paying customers.

I don't know why the six-date Russian Tour was canceled, but it would have involved a lot of air travel and in the end economic issues may well have dictated the cancellations.

Hopefully, the Russian experience will not impact the US Tour that BF has indicated is supposed to occur sometime in 2014. But we'll have to wait and see what transpires...
