Elegantly Ageing Hipsters, Debauched Dilatantes, Renowned Roxologists & All Other Assorted Ne'er-Do-Wells,
As we exit a phenomenal 2013 resplendent with the triumph that was AEWBF, the launch of 'Yellow Cocktail Music' and the amazing 'Nuits de Fourviere' it would not seem unreasonable to grant our hero a sabbatical year.
Happily the Geordie work ethic won't allow this and Windswept has no hesitation in posting his wishes for 2014:
1) AEWBF Dvd and cd to commemorate the best tour to date.
2) New album out on schedule in May (including 'Move On Up')
3) Another side project from the phenomenal BFO.
4) AEWBF to morph into a new album tour starting with a US leg
(Great excuse for Windswept to visit friends in NYC.)
5) The definitive biography.
Failing any or all of the above a £3600 voucher for Anderson & Sheppard will do - I can pay of that damn tailor's account!
One things for sure, it won't be a dull!
Here's wishing all a happy, successful and prosperous 2014.
Regards,
Windswept.

Same to you dear WS...and to all fellow vivaroxymusic.commers,
Best regards
RoxySiren

PS all in all, it's been a pretty great year for BF, I'd say. And on a personal note, I've thoroughly enjoyed most of 2013, much of it thanks to a lot of great music from many wonderful artists (recorded and live).

Yes. I would echo sentiments posted, or mentioned above. I was thinking about this a few nights back. A contented, satisfying year for me.

I would throw this argument into the equation though. How many times over the decades has Bryan given us that "extra" lift? 40 years and more down the line. It is quite amazing. In Bryan Ferry this year I saw the cheeky chappy on stage that I first fell in love with in 1973. On tour this year, I saw a re-invigourated Bryan Ferry. It was something to behold.

I am still, first and foremost, a Roxy Music fan though, and for me, that includes the core members of the band that mean as much equally to me, as Bryan does. I still think something will happen with them, again, Roxy.

There is nothing however, that can take away the fact that, for Bryan, and most here, 2013 has been nothing other than memorable and triumphant.

Cher Roxy,
Great card - I still wear that scarf and shirt.
The white suit stays firmly in the closet albeit, back then it looked great.
Regards,
Windswept
