Elegant, Discerning Hipsters, Considering the importance of our hero's sartorial contribution and status as a style icon, I would like to propose that vivaROXYMUSIC.com start a forum dedicated to the looks and have threads associated with every album and tour. IMNSHO style and music are inextricably linked and the specificity of each Roxy/Ferry look could be celebrated in this forum with bloggers contributing anything relevant from their archives and commenting as they see fit. OK, not every one's a winner (personally I always thought the bolero look was a bridge too fare) but, in the round, the looks have been fabulous! What do all of you dilettantes think? Monsieur Windswept, I don't know if you have had time to peruse all the Vancouver reviews but one in particular had me worried for your condition. I quote:- "Decked out in a smoking jacket that was made out of some amazing upholstery, black satin slacks and that enduring just out of Bentley head haircut, Ferry sounded timeless." Upholstery? I promise to tread lightly in this new Sartorial Forum brought forth by his eminence WS2, but today I am wearing my Eno - Here Comes the Warm Jets black T-shirt so I figure I've earned a one-day special pass allowing entry into this hallowed hall. I realize its blasphemy, but I concur that Our Hero's Smoking Jacket looks like its made from the fabric of some trendy sofa in a trendy boutique hotel in some trendy neighborhood haunted by ever-so-beautiful people who only pretend to know who Brian Eno is.
