Elegantly Ageing Hipsters, Although I'm pleased that our hero's west coast jaunt is being well reviewed, I wonder how it would have been received in Europe after the complete triumph that was AEWBF? Doubtless a back to basics guitar band with a set list heavily loaded with Roxy is probably the way to go. Cone to think of it, Dylanesque represented a step change after all the sophistication of ATGB and Frantic so perhaps there is a pattern to this. When you can't get bigger than this - perhaps you have to go smaller. As the actress said to the bishop! Dying to see how the new band works with an orchestra in Dublin. Regards, Windswept. |
