I couldn't see any evidence of promo CDs of J&M, so I bought It's Album Time cheaply on Amazon. It's inoffensive instrumental stuff, with vague hints in places of the late 70s Munich sound of Giorgio Moroder etc. However, J&M is a different beast altogether and the song is growing on me by the day... It suits the mature BF voice well and could easily be played live (there being two keyboard players in the current BF touring band), so I wonder if he might consider putting it in the setlist for the autumn dates. The CD sleeve notes guest appearances on J&M by Ollie & Cherisse too; this fact had hitherto passed me by. |

That should get him much more air play than the rather monotonous "You Can Dance". As I wrote in March, you're absolutely right, Smudge - why not publishing a single/download single and playing this sinister, noir interpretation of Robert Palmer's classic live in autumn? I own the complete Todd Terje Album, too, and fully agree with your comments. |
