According to Prince Vault, Bryan was present at a private gig by Prince, last night, at The Hippodrome Casino, London:

Kate Moss was also present. There's a mean spirited piece in today's Daily Mail that focuses on Moss's attendance; no photos of Bryan, mind.

Monsieur Peanut,
I have never been one to begrudge our hero or, any man, a night out but in this particular instance I'd have preferred that he'd stayed in and prepared his sheet music for Dublin.
Regards,
Windswept

Dear Monsieur Windswept,

without ever having met our hero in person, after everything I've read and heard about him I'm under the impression he's got the toughest work ethic a man can possibly have. I really don't think we have to worry about him not doing his homework.

Regards,

Lonely Dreamer

Genius meets genius. I think we shouldn't forbid him to exchange experiences with the exceptional Prince, Monsieur Windswept2 ;)

As Lonely Dreamer points out, BF seems to have strong work ethics. I am sure he has got everything under control and the "Leipzig affair" will turn out to be un faux pas regrettable

The Tollwood Concert (as broadcast by MDR) should be published as CD/DVD/BluRay, as you proposed, Monsieur Windswept2. And be available only to V!RM members who have posted at least 10 contributions - or something like that

Perhaps Prince and Bryan swapped horror stories of German promoters. Prince's Berlin show, scheduled for 3 June, was cancelled a couple of days before it was due to take place. The overpriced tickets, initially set at €300 but later reduced, meant that the gig failed to sell out.

Interesting information, Peanut, thank you.

In fact we don't really know what went wrong: Missing sheet music? Exorbitant ticket prices? Little popularity of RM/BF in the former GDR until today?

We can only speculate ...

You're welcome, pianoman.

Big Prince fan here. I've seen him four times this year.

Prince has covered Roxy Music's "More Than This" in concert on several occasions, but he's notoriously difficult to meet, even for other celebrities. I'd be interested to learn if Prince and Bryan exchanged pleasantries last night.

J'OB, can you confirm or deny?

Didn't he do some work at studio one a couple of months back? (Not with our leader I don't think)

Indeed.

Interesting quote from Prince, here, regarding the session:

"Prince has covered Roxy Music's "More Than This" in concert on several occasions" (Peanut)

I always had the impression that Prince likes the work of RM/BF, e.g. "Purple Rain": A certain touch of Roxy, particularly when he uses BF's staccato piano quints (mostly with Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer or Yamaha CP80).
