Good morning :D

A live recording from the Tollwood festival Munich 2013 is currently available for streaming on the website of the German radio station MDR:

http://www.mdr.de/mdr-figaro/audio870934.html

The playlist can be found here:

http://www.mdr.de/mdr-figaro/musik/ferry104.html

The recording includes the great Curtis Mayfield's Move On Up :D

The broadcast was on June, 2nd, I think it will probably be available online until the 8th or 9th, but that's just a guess, so please don't rely on it.

Thank you very much for this link, Lonely Dreamer. I am just listening to "An Evening with Bryan Ferry" and - what can I say - I am really impressed about his voice and the variety of songs he presented. What a great idea that the East German MDR broadcasts this live performance from Tollwood Festival 2013 in Munich (why not Bavarian BR?). By the way: Now I can understand why Monsieur Windswept2 is so enthusiastic about the AEWBF concert series.

Yes, I'm absolutely impressed, too. Unfortunately I couldn't see any concert of that tour live, he didn't play in Hamburg and I had some health problems that prevented me from going to see him in Berlin.

I hope they will release a live DVD and CD from that tour. It's really amazing.

Many thanks for the link! great stuff, great quality..

comment towards the end that the concert in Leipzig has been cancelled due to "technical reasons"

You're welcome! Btw somebody mentioned on facebook that another radio recording of the same tour is available on dimeadozen.org. I think he said it was from Sweden.

No, it is the same show, Munich, just a different radio station broadcast and it doesn't have as many songs from the concert.

Cher Lonely Dreamer,
Un très grand merci for posting this fabulous concert.
Frankly, this should be released on a CD immediately without any tampering!
It has the best ever version of NYC, Crazy Love and Chain Reaction - to name but three. And if any ne'er - do-well ever doubted the combined genius of Colin Good and Bryan Ferry, just listen to the transition from Crazy Love to Chain Reaction. It's pure poetry in motion!
TBFO are simply the best band ever to stand behind our hero's quiff.
They are sublime and the complexity of some of the arrangements are really something to behold. Just listen to how the horn section works on "Hard Rain". Furthermore, Ferry's vocals are more than up to the task and if they are a little fragile on a couple of the tracks it just adds warmth to the performance.
I'm so pleased I took this tour in twice. I'm not sure we'll see the likes of it again.
Windswept wants the album and he wants it now!
If you debauched hipsters haven't heard this — tune in immediately or be forever rejected in this hallowed cyber hall.
a bien tôt et encore merci Lonely Dreamer!
Windswept

Yes, the versions of these songs are amazing, as is the whole show

Cher Monsieur Riff,
C'est vrai - vous avez raison. AEWBF is simply the best. Even better than ATGB.
Perhaps our hero would consider making a collectors edition purely for the members of this hallowed cyber hall?
If this concert goes unreleased it will constitute the most unimaginable act of artistic negligence in the history of rock and jazz.
Windswept will be burning his collection of dark blue Charvet knitted silk ties in protestation!
a bien tôt,
Windswept
