Post subject:  When is DVD of " An Evening with B F " being released ?
Having been away from the scene , its been good to catch up with all the news. With all the furore surrounding the new album ( to be or not to be ), I was wondering about the live DVD of the AEWBF tour. There were most definitely cameras in place at Shepherds Bush last November.

That would be an awesome Christmas pressie :D

BTW off topic - I too would love to see both Colin Good and the Great Paul Thompson back in the fold . I am afraid I did not enjoy the Glastonbury performance or Johnny and Mary. Methinks our hero has toured too much and the voice needs a long rest.

I would love to hear some new work and with the attention to detail of old eg. the glissando harp on Walk a Mile in my Shoes, the castanets on " senorita " in Mother of Pearl etc. etc. Sublime.

Being rush released on christmas eve 2018 with the Roxy 40th anniversary reissues and 2011 Roxy for your pleasure tour dvd/cd digi pack double disc and disc of remixes.

Given that Bryan's studio albums are renowned for being later than expected while the master fine-tunes them I would have thought that releasing this earlier in the summer would have been an ideal move to capitalise on the media exposure from Glastonbury and the US tour. But alas no. Perhaps he has moved on and this is a closed chapter. One that would make great repeated viewing for us though.

Could someone at Team Ferry not work on matters to do with the archive and back catalogue while the man works on something new? Or does it all ultimately come down to Bryan? I assume it does and that he can only channel his efforts into one project at a time.

Someone at "Team Ferry" told me, on one of the AEWBF gigs last November, that he would be doing a UK tour in May this year, he didn't and also there would be a new album in May this year, there wasn't.

Instead he chose to form a dodgy* band to do a pointless US tour (doing mostly Roxy songs, now, if he couldn't crack the States in the 70's with the original band what chance does he have now?) and other Nordic outposts which he is going to repeat right up until the end of the year! Why?????

People might get fed up seeing him, and as someone said, the voice needs a long rest....maybe for good. If he is only doing it only for the money then maybe the archive stuff could generate more than the touring would. A new release would get zero.

*Guy and Cherisse are great, Jorga isn't a patch on what she was a few years back, she seems to have run out of puff, and the new members are mediocre and uninterested.

I think his venture in these territories this year means he won't be out there next year and will perhaps concentrate on the UK in 2015.
I'm not totally convinced with the new band either except for a few exceptions, and found the 'Olympia' band one of his best and of course last years AEWBF. It also makes one wonder who is one the new album as his current band were all recruited in the Spring. I honestly think after this next album it really is time for a change, and I know what I would like to happen in 2016 :)

Sorry , but I look completely different. His present term band plays with a lot of joy and enthusiasm and also Bryan seems to enjoy it. When I think of how lifeless the (Roxy)FYP Tour has expired, then that's a huge increase. Keep it up Bryan, the new album let us finally hear ...
