So I tried to figure out what tix to these latest announced concerts will cost and I couldn't seem to get there unless I registered on the Lord's site.

Tix for BF's "Bowie gig" in Chicago are pretty steep; just wondering what these are listed for...

Don't be silly DCJ - you're mortal!

The Friday night ball is open to the public and tickets are a mere £200 each (about $320 at recent exchange rates, DCJ)!

Hopefully the following link will work, but otherwise it can be found through the Lords shop website by clicking on the bicentenary, then events, tabs.

https://shop.lords.org/shop/lords-bicen ... th-october

The Saturday night ball is a members only affair and does require a log-in; I have a mate who's a MCC member, so I can ask him if anyone has a burning desire to know the cost, but that won't help you to gain admittance to the event! ;)

I figured it would be about US$300 for the public gig (maybe a bit more) which I presume is in line with the resources available to the Lord's crowd.

Actually, what may give VRM Forum people pause is the notice that there will also be the cover band "Covers Up" performing for the assembled multitude. Hmmm. That could be a bit dodgy, or at least not what one might hope for when paying $320 for admission. And there is also the question of whether BF will show with his Corporate Band featuring the ever-popular recorded instrumental tracks...

BTW, September looms and there is still no word of a new album...

Isn't it also a white tie event?

It's referred to as a white tie event in the main promotional blurb, RoxySiren, but as a black tie one when you follow the ticketing links. :?

Rather embarrassing if, £200 later, one turned up sporting the wrong evening wear, old chap!

Still, at least it'll stop MCC members from wearing their yellow & orange (fried egg & tomato) striped ties; I fear BF & the band would otherwise have needed sunglasses...

Wonder how long a set they'll get for £200? 45 mins or an hour maybe?

Despite the outstanding value for money that this opportunity represents ( :o ) I think I'll pass ;)

I wonder what would happen then? Would that person have to commit seppuku in order to restore his honour? :?

If you wouldn't pay it any mind then that's what you should do, I guess...
