Oh no, the show at Washington tonight has been cancelled as BF has a throat infection, this man needs a long rest and take care of himself. Hope he's feeling better soon. |

This is not good news. I hope he is able to bounce back quickly but, sad to say, when in comes to Colds and Sore Throats we are all at the mercy of Nature. |

Tonight's show has now also been cancelled. "It is with great regret that Bryan Ferry has been required to cancel tonight's show at the Lincoln Theatre Washington due to the ongoing throat infection. Mes Amis, This is not at all good news and must put The Beacon at risk? Maybe even Philly although I hope for everybody's sake, particularly DJC's, that our hero gets over this quickly. One things for sure, if he can perform he will. Few have BF's commitment and work ethic. When Windswept saw the extension to the Frantic tour in '04, he'd just had to cancel a load of gigs and Oxford was the first one back. He made a huge effort to do it even though he had to shorten the set a little. Once he's finished the US leg he'll hopefully have a damn fine holiday before he hits Scandinavia. Windswept thinks he needs a good rest and a new suit. That floral LV outfit has now traveled the world and has seen more action than Lucrezia Borgia and great as it is, the time has come for a sartorial revamp. WS2: I was never a big fan of the LV floral suit, so I'm ready for the sartorial revamp! Switching gears, the notice given related to the second DC show cancellation doesn't fill me with great confidence for the fate of the final three shows on this abbreviated US tour. Maybe he'll bounce back and everything will be fine. But that's not the vibe I'm getting sad to say. Also, I assume he was going to do some interviews and PR in NYC to promote the new album, but this too might have to be but on hold... Sigh. |

I quite liked the Louis Vuitton jacket, and it definitely suited AEWBF tour. It was a nice change from the black suits he normally wears on tour. After having a pint in the Burlington Arms the other week it was nice to have a little walk down Savile Row and wondering where he will go next!

I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow evening in Boston and hope that our hero is recovered and in full voice for the show. no news yet about tonight's show in New York so my optimism may be rewarded. I was able to see King Crimson in both New York and Boston within the last two weeks, I am dazzled by the prospect of seeing my other life-long musical obsession within such a short span of time. |
