Hello,
I'm new to this forum.
Being a Ferry/Roxy-fanatic since 1980 at the age of 15 I finally decided to contribute my humble observations to this dedicated site.
I've been searching on the net for some time for a physical copy of the rare 8-track 'Mamouna' EP,so far without any luck.
Especially interesting is the Ferry/Jobson non-album composition 'As The World Turns' feat. guitar by Mr. Robert Fripp.
If any on this forum succesfully bought this EP,where to look?

Kind regards,
Henrik.

Hi Henrik,

I got my copy from ebay some years ago but I see there is one available there at present.

Hi,
Thank you all for your quick responses.
I immediately ordered the cheaper copy at www.amazon.com.
What a bargain!,you saved my day.
Earlier this day I purchased the following CD singles
'Don't Want To Know'/'Mamouna'/'Dance With Life'
at www.musicstack.com.
Very reasonable prices,check them out.

Kind regards,
Henrik.

These days are a field day compared to how little we got in the 90s.

Hi Henrik,

bought Mamouna EP two years ago from eBay. Japanese seller, price was ok (€ 25,00). It took 4 weeks till I got it, but it was worth the money. 'As The World Turns' and 'She's Leaving Home' (better than the Beatles' original?) are wonderful songs and 'Four Letter Love' and 'Broken Wings' are absolute rarities.

Have fun with 'Mamouna' ;)

Henrik - welcome to this forum! Lots of good stuff here! Great stories from all who participate. Enjoy Mamouna - I partied with David Williams until 5:30 AM when he was in Montreal in 1994. His guitar playing on Mamouna rocks! Crank it!

Hello,
Thank You to all of you for a very warm welcome.
'Mamouna' is my all-time BF favourite album,in my opinion producer
Robin Trower took the songs in the right direction after Mr. Ferry's struggling with The Record That Never Came Out aka 'Horoscope' first with 'Taxi' and then with the master piece 'Mamouna'.
I remember the concert in Copenhagen in '95 especially for the outstanding atmosphere created by the guitarists Trower +
David Williams.
David Williams was a very underrated guitarist (may he rest in peace) but fortunately he is all over 'Mamouna',an album I can listen to repeatedly and always find new details.

Kind regards,
Henrik.
