A nice almost forty minute conversation with Bryan and the chance to hear five tracks from Avonmore (although we've all heard Johnny and Mary before). On initial listen I'm loving 'Soldier of Fortune' and 'Driving Me Wild' - although don't want to listen too many times as looking forward to listening in full when the album comes out!

Maturing mods, A big thank you to Monsieur Scott for posting this albeit it forced Windswept to break his embargo on listening to more tracks before the album arrives! He tried to resist but it's now four months since BFWS in Dublin and withdrawal symptoms were setting in so a FerryFix proved essential. Although judgement will be withheld until he has the real thing in his sweaty palms, he is loving all particularly 'Send In The Clowns' which is super haunting and has great guitar. It was also great to hear our hero's comments regarding his interest in doing a stage musical and his warm comments about the great Colin Good. All in all a fascinating interview. a bien tôt, Windswept

Blimey, I resisted listening to these tracks for as long as possible as I was wanting to hear the full package on release date, but it seems that everywhere I go on the net someone, somewhere is always testing my resistance with links and suggestions that lead me to the very thing I'm trying to avoid. However, watching BF on Jools was the straw that broke the camel's back, I crumbled and gave in to temptation.
'Soldier Of Fortune' is heartbreakingly beautiful and 'Driving Me wild' is possibly the best thing since sliced bread! I love the piano on this track, such a simple little tinkle here and there is divine which I didn't really pick up on when watching the Jools Holland performance, and for me it makes all the difference, just beautiful. With so many beautiful sounds going on its just been ace to sit back put the cans on close my eyes and digest the whole shabang.
Can't wait for this album, darlings. I have a feeling it's going to be special x
