Whew. I sat through the whole video but boy-oh-boy was it pointlessly creepy and, if taken at face value, very disturbing.

What is BF thinking if this video is supposed to help give his new album and his career a positive boost? Some wastrel/preppy murder scenarioi? Unh? Where did that come from???

I guess BF is still holding on to the dream that he is a 30 year old hipster and that he can cultivate this demographic as a new fan base. Jeepers. I would have thought that the lack of success accorded Olympia would have sent him in another direction. But apparently not...

The likelihood that I will ever watch this video again is just about zero. We all know about videos going viral. I propose this as a prime example of the anti-viral video...

Very strange, indeed. Not the kind of video I'd like to see once more. What does director Aoife McArdle want to tell us with this violent story??

Well, what in the heck was that all about?

All I can tell is a psychopath may on may not have engages in multiple partner sex and may have murdered a friend in a surprisingly bloody manner with a hypodermic needle. Various young ladies in various states of undress may also have been his victims. And he likes to play indoor putt-putt golf with tea cups...

Deeply profound.

Well certainly unlike any BF promo video that has preceded it, that's for sure. On that basis alone, perhaps it has its merits? I will certainly watch again but the total absence of the great man means it's not likely to be one I return to heavily in the future.
Years ago if someone had told me I'd see a man's arse in a BF video I might have bet my pension against it in indignation. Thank goodness that scenario never actually played out - a penniless retirement would be beckoning!

Yes, not what I expected either for a promo video. However, love to be surprised. Its cinematic and very well shot with a strong narrative from a very current young director. The music is a perfect fit for this type of film - maybe a hint for future soundtrack work?

I'll keep this short and sweet. Frankly, I found the video shocking (in a bad way) and completely out of kilter with Bryan's canon of work to date.

The video, IMO, is at very least ill advised. There are all sorts of disturbing connotations that one would ordinarily want to distance themself from misogyny/ murder/ psychosis. If Bryan wanted to break from the norm and create an impact - he has certainly done so.

I can't, personally, see this doing him or the album any good at all.

Time will tell...

On a plus side, Loop Di Li's got a great groove and is extremely Ferry in nature. A return to top form - and last night's abbreviated performance was pretty darn cool. Looking forward to Friday.

Regards to all

Mes Amis,
Mon Dieu - a rare misstep from 'The Taste Tarantula'.
Its only redeeming feature is that it gives credence to the adage that 'person nest parfait'
Moving quickly on.
