I really like the remixes that have been published on soundcloud so far.

https://soundcloud.com/bryanferry/sets/avonmore-remixes

Does anybody understand what BF says during the intro and outro Johnson Somerset has added to Lost:

https://soundcloud.com/bryanferry/lost- ... re-remixes

?

I only understand fragments. Where is it from? Is it from an interview or has it been recorded specifically for the remix?

I've got it! What he says was taken from this interview, where BF speaks about his memories of a deceased friend of his, Isabella Blow:

Quote:

It was her favourite song of mine anyway

My last memory of her is me driving of on the rest of my tour and her running behind the car, waving, and in some kind of Indian Sari

She loved music, she loved dancing around

Great detective work Lonely Dreamer!

Reference to Isabella Blow - larger than life, troubled soul and close friend of Bryan's - makes the track Lost even more heartfelt.

The remixes are excellent.

Thank you, Topiary. It was the Indian Sari that put me on the track. Not a word BF uses frequently in his interviews.

I agree. It adds a new dimension to the word "lost".

Thanks, Lonely Dreamer. Not bad, really. I like his remix of 'Driving Me Wild' even more than the original. Somersets way of remixing Ferry's songs in the direction of electronic music is perfect for a lot of 'Avonmore' stuff, IPMNSHO. And don't forget this one:
