It seems that folk are either falling back in love with LPs or ditching all their vinyl? The splendid Avonmore package has dragged me back into the former group, so I'm kinda looking for BF fans in the latter category...

Although I bought all BF's CDs (even while I was busy being a jazz snob! ), there are a few missing from my vinyl collection: Taxi; Mamouna; As Time Goes By; Frantic; Dylanesque; Olympia; plus the More Than This compilation.

So, if you know anyone willing to exchange or sell any of these LPs, please give me a shout. Thanks.

Some are very hard to find. Mamouna and taxi pops up on ebay once in a while mostly from greece and it's +40€. Given up on them. Frantic used to be cheap. Bought it at 25€ a couple of yrs ago. Dylanesque and more than this will make you rob a bank 250€ and up. Seen more than this only once! Never seen as time goes by, does it even exist on vinyl?
Olympia is on the vinylfactory site. 35€. They also released very limited 12" singles from olympia. 200-300-400 pieces worldwide. Also 3 remix albums- don't stop the dance. And a dj remix. Love is the drug by todd terje. They got beautiful stuff.

Oh well dylanesque is 450€ now http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=380968298543

Thanks for the info, Herci.

I'm almost certain that ATGB appeared on vinyl, although apparently in very limited numbers.

A mint condition Dylanesque sold on eBay a couple of weeks ago; I think the final price was just over £60 (about 75 euros perhaps), but I still find it hard to see that as a bargain! ;)

I'll be checking out the charity shops, just in case...

All of BFs solo albums (studio) have appeared on Vinyl at some point.

The compilations from 2000 onwards haven't been on vinyl.

Slave To Love Best Of The Ballads (2000)
The Best Of Roxy Music (2001)
The Platinum Collection (2004)
The Best Of Bryan Ferry (2009)

Found a new copy of Olympia in a record shop in Athens for €30. Used Taxi without inner sleeve for 20. In general, vinyl is fairly popular in Greece.
What I lack; Dylanesque and As time goes by.

On checking the Vinyl Factory's online shop more closely, Olympia is out of stock. Mind you, at £30 there, I think it was probably cheaper at BF's gigs when I passed up the opportunity.

All VF appears to have left are one or two Don't Stop The Dance 12" remixes and the folio edition of The Jazz Age (6 x 10" singles) for £150...

The Taxi vinyl never had an inner sleeve, just a white bag.
