This video of "Hard Rain" must be from the Australian TV show Alan. At first I thought it was the Tokyo one but it seems to be a different studio.

Also, "Tokyo Joe".

Yes Roxy. It is Bryan Ferry Live in Australia filmed at Channel Seven studios in Epping (Sydney) in '77. It was about an eight song set and I've rarely seen HR. To the best of my knowledge, this concert was only aired once. I have the entire audio on CD somewhere  I recorded it with hand held mic in front of the telly in the days before VCR.

I think we all done that with the old cassette recorder Zarathustra! :)

Those two clips I posted are from the official Bryan Ferry youtube channel so I guess that is why the quality is so good. The kind of thing that would be a nice extra on any future "Special Edition" releases ;) I too have the audio CD recording and it was previously available on vinyl bootleg, "Songs from the Soul of my Suit".

The full set was:-

Let's Stick Together
Love Is The Drug
A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall
This Is Tomorrow
Shame, Shame, Shame
In Your Mind
All Night Operator
You Go To My Head
Love Me Madly Again
Casanova
Tokyo Joe

A great track from (in my opinion) a much underrated album. Bryan himself seemed to have subsequently distanced himself from it (an apparent walk-out by erstwhile Roxy producer Chris Thomas may have been jaundiced his opinion of the finished product). High time for the driving "This Is Tomorrow" to return to the live set I think.

Hi there!
Great to read this about this fantastic track.....
I remember buying a dvd recordable of the Japan show some years ago on ebay, not super quality, but very worthwhile to watch and listen; a document you should be happy with!
Bryan in great form during this period.....
The IYM album offers me resemblances from my youth the period it was released; it still reminds me up to this day of my last year at elementary school; that certain 70's atmosphere and reading Dutch music mags; following Bryan's activities......
So I still love that album, albeit with a certain "soundtrack" in my mind.....
Will there be anymore in the faults for perhaps a future release or something? Let's hope so......
By the way, does anyone of you have a audiovisual recording of the great Bryan Ferry in concert at the BBC from some years ago?
Here's to taste on the IYM album, excellent!
