Latest update from Bryan Ferry.com:-

London 6th June 2015 –
Following medical assessment this afternoon, Bryan Ferry’s shows in Poole (7th June) and Bristol (8th June) are also unfortunately being postponed due to on-going illness making it impossible for Bryan to perform. Bryan has spent the last few days attempting to fully recover in time to be able to complete the tour and is deeply upset to be told by the doctors to make this decision.
Rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as possible.
Bryan, band, crew and management all send their thoughts to the disappointed fans and for causing inconvenience. Bryan also particularly thanks Judith Owen and her band for being such a wonderful opening act on this tour and their patience and support this week.
Customers are advised to hold on to their tickets and contact their point of purchase for details about any rearranged date or further information on refunds.

Fellow Roxologists,

W2 feels your pain and joins you in wishing our hero a full and speedy recovery.

The Geordie work ethic is beyond reproach and there is no doubt that the bonny lad will be distraught at having to cancel. That said, one has to question the wisdom of this frenetic back to back tour schedule.

Events since 2003 have progressively shown the need for rest between shows and in a country the size of the UK I'm quite sure that fans would travel to five strategically chosen venues were there could be two consecutive night appearances with good rest periods between.
Ironically, when W2 picked Brighton he chose it over the RAH in part because there was a couple of nights between the this and The Dome.

Of course the city that permanently helps the police with it's enquires is not going anywhere and awaits the re-scheduled date but we all want many more tours and want our hero in the best of shape and these back to back fandangos aren't the way.

Salutations,
W2
