Have seen a few rumours recently about a potential authorised BF photo book. His current tour photographer, Mathew Becker, may have let slip on Instagram about his involvement in this project. Sounds very exciting.

W2 would love to see a biography — preferably an autobiography.

That said, in the absence of the definitive story a luxury coffee table tomb will do.

Paul Weller has just released an incredible piece entitled 'Into Tomorrow' which documents his solo career from '92 to now. It features the fabulous photos of Lawrence Watson with some copy done by Weller. It's a truly sumptuous leather bound piece that retails at £295 — a mere bagatelle!

Hopefully the 'Taste Tarantula' will come up with something epic and unusual.The advantage that Weller has is that he's worked with Watson consistently over the last 23 years. I'm not sure our hero has that consistency of qualitative photographic material.

Let's hope it's out for Christmas (2015!)

I hope that if such a BF book is forthcoming then it isn't through the same publishers as the Weller book, who specialise in top-of-the-range bound coffee table titles. High quality as they may be they're out of the price range of many of us mere mortals, I'm afraid. I would have loved a copy of the Bowie book "Station to Station" by Geoff McCormack by the same publishers as the Weller book but the £295 price tag is just too prohibitive for me, I'm afraid.

I remember some years ago looking through George Harrison's 'Live In Japan' book from Genesis Publications which was signed by George. It was expensive then but even more so after 2001.
These are beautiful rarities granted, but they are a bit pricy. I did though last Autumn purchase the huge Nick Drake book which was signed by his sister and one of his photographers, this however was a slightly reasonable £120 with a 78" featuring unreleased BBC recordings.
We'll have to see what happens, it's bound to be an attractive publication anyhow.

I love Weller's music. Underrated artist...and I know he's highly rated by many...but he's a true great.
Economic constraints are always understandable...but at my time of life I can occasionally indulge; so, if Bry were to "do" one of these, I'd snap it up in a second.
I'm actually tempted by the Weller one...mmmmm

Renowned Roxologists,

As UK Richard successfully predicted, the much touted photo book has turned out to be the 'Avonmore' special edition.

Although all Ferry is good Ferry and W2 would never discourage investors, he is disappointed that Studio One has not come up with something on the scale of Weller's tomb. If anybody's musical and sartorial life deserves to be documented and celebrated in this way, it is that of our hero.

That said, as W2 opined in his Chronicle, it is probably the lack of consistent quality material (not working with the same photographer) and the plethora of different copy right holders that makes such a project so difficult.

Maybe some of the haunters of this hallowed cyber hall could pop along with their Polaroids and put the world to rights?

But please, non of those selfie stick thingies!
