Sadly no RAH availability for the next 12 months?? Let's see what they come up with instead.

A Bryan Ferry prom would have been much fun at the RAH. :)

Hipsters,
Windswept's Roxy heart goes out to those booked at the RAH.
Hopefully a new venue will be found and all will go well.
Meanwhile W2 is delighted that his fandango at sin city has been rebooked albeit the October date will cost a fortune by the time Mrs.W selects her autumn attire.
It's great to have a FerryFix in the diary.
Salutations,
W2

Will look forward to London, wherever the show(s) is/are, but might consider Poole or Brighton (and certainly Brussels!), if anyone has tickets to shift for the revised dates... :)

Given that the Royal Albert Hall was sold out, the only venues that would match this capacity is the Hammersmith Apollo (last visit being Roxy's final 2001 show) or the Royal Festival Hall (last visited by Ferry back in 1999).

One could though envisage a two day stint at the much smaller an intimate Shepherds Bush Empire. Perhaps even Theatre Royal Drury Lane!

I'd forgotten the Royal Festival Hall as an option. Was lucky enough to get front row for the ATGB show in 1999 and it would be an excellent alternative as RAH is no longer available.

As Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is on at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane from Monday to Saturday it would only be available for Sunday concerts and would probably require all the scenery for the show to be moved in and out to accomodate BF and band for just one night's concert. So I can't think that would be viable sadly.

Cadogan Hall would be great as it's so intimate but only holds 900 unfortunately so BF would have to do a residency there to meet demand from all those who were going to the RAH - not sure the Ferry voice would cope with a residency (although as an idea it would be great - some changes per night to the setlist too!).

So either the Festival Hall or Hammersmith it seems to me.

Oh yeah I'd forgotten about Charlie & The Chocolate Factory being at Drury Lane, I should've known as I was in the Globe around the corner the other day.
Yes I think the other venues are a possibility, the only other venue I can think of with the matching capacity is Brixton Academy which isn't a very Ferryesque venue.

It's all gone a bit quiet Bryan-wise. Let's hope the great man is fully recovered. Still no word on a new London show - let's hope for an announcement soon

A good time maybe for Team Ferry to announce the deluxe editions of RM and FYP to give us something to look forward to while we wait for BF to tread the boards again. Bowie's archive boxed set has already been announced for a late September release so the autumn release dates are starting to surface. I'm sure Bryan would hate to think his audience had no money left to spend on Roxy issues because they'd spent it all on that other 70s icon's deluxe set.

Do we have any updates on a London date and venue?

I have this overwhelming fear of missing the show(s) as everything tends to sell out so quickly these days. I would love the Palladium or the Apollo and pray it's not the cavernous 02.

Fingers crossed!

I think if there were to be a London date this year it would have been announced by now.

Cher LeadPearl,
Our leader (J O'B) is probably correct but he did add an extra date at Sheppard's Bush Empire at short notice in 2013.
Venue availability will obviously key but for many reasons, I don't think you have to worry about the thoroughly awful O2.
Have you registered with his site? You may get pre-sell notification that way.
