David Bowie has died at the age of 69 years. What a sad and bad news. His music will always be my good memories.

I am in shock hearing this very sad news this morning. It all started for me in 1972 with Ziggy Stardust. He never stayed still, always changing, always reinventing himself and his music. He is one of the greats of the music world. He will be missed, but his music lives on. R.I.P. David

Mes Amis,
Shocking news indeed - he will be so sadly missed.
What a great artist and to come out with 'Dark Star' as a final act is such an amazing gift to all his fans. Not just his last album but absolutely one of his best.
R.I.P David and condolences to his family, friends and fans.
Salutations,
Windswept

I was really shocked when I heard this sad news. On Friday I had bought 'Blackstar', yesterday evening discussed it with a friend ... David Bowie was a real artist and maybe one of the last of his kind. R.I.P. Mr. Ziggy Stardust.

Mes amis, une jour si triste...
Blackstar was a suitable finale for such a great artist. DB was genius. though I have to admitt that i never fully appreciated his dark, cold, edgy music.

Yes, it's shocking news, I've not been able to warm up all day, I feel like I've had a bucket of cold water thrown over me...
I remember in 1972 sitting my younger (10 year-old) brother in front of the tv to watch Bowie do Starman on the children's tv show "Lift Off with Ayshea."
I said, "Watch this, he's great." My brother has been obsessed with Bowie ever since that afternoon. I took him to see Bowie at Newcastle City Hall on the Stage tour, and he's subsequently seen him live all over Europe, met him via the Bowie fan club, bought loads of his art, etc.
So many memories....like heated arguments over music at school between myself and "hairies," the abuse I got for having a Ziggy cut, happy days....
We are all mayflies.

Great artist. For me the live shows from Paris around early 2000s with Gail Ann Dorsey are brilliant. For any of us growing up as teenagers in the 1970s, he was very influential.

Real shock. Massive loss. For me it's always been Bowie and Ferry. So sad he's no longer here with us.
