Your Painted Smile

Beautiful song released during a very special (if short lived) time in my life

And yours?

Thanks Teresa. This is an interesting yet simple twist on the oft-posed question "what's your favourite?"

For me, a song has special meaning if it sparks nostalgia for a mood, time, place, person, whatever..or triggers a here and now buzz.

I ended up with some songs which I might not necessarily put in my favourite lists otherwise. It made me think. But these songs are special for me:
If there is something (time warp....recaptured in Flashbacks of a Fool)
Everything else on roxy 1 :)
For your pleasure
Street life (memories of ToTP and excitement the day after)
The In Crowd
This Island Earth
Who knows where or when
Tender is the night

I remember breaking up with a long term girlfriend and straight after, going back to my flat. No sooner did I turn the telly on than "Oh Yeah" started playing on TOTP. T'was too much for my 18 year old heart to take...!

Chère Teresa!
BF;s music has been the soundtrack to my life, so I shall not make you feel tired with a long set of songs.
But, as was the case with Bill, I can mention one; after splitting up with a girlfriend, I listened to The name of the game. "Out in the wilderness again..."

Hello Stephen,
Almost Every Ferrysong corresponds to a time in my life...
Almost to me like he wrote the music to my life...
More Than This is probably one of the most relevant..
And the ones I listed in my byline for this post.
I am trying to get over two Devastating recent losses...
That have left me wondering about human nature
