Merci, le freak! Quelle surprise!
Of course I`ll buy the cd when I attend the show, Mme Oberon can't deny me that.
Does anyone know if there will be a release on vinyl?

Bonne soirée!

Hmmm. It's an interesting marketing strategy that essentially cuts out the "middle man" and allows BF to increase his cut of the sales proceeds. Of course the down side for BF is that people can't quickly and easily order the CD from Amazon and other "just a few clicks away" marketing sites.

Apparently "Live Avonmore" will be priced at about $30 at US concert venues. Compared to the $300 I paid for two premium (fifth row) seats the CD price seems modest! But it's still not cheap (however, concert T-Shirts regular go for 30 bucks at concert venues so 30 bucks for a double Cd is not particularly outrageous)

I may buy the CD, but I'll be interested in hearing some audio clips to hear how his voice sounds...

It does seem an incredible statistic that, some 43 years after launching his solo output, this is BF's first live album. Hopefully it'll prove worthy of the wait. Certainly the live dates last year were generally well received both here and in wider music circles, so that bodes well.

Interesting too that this is BF's first foray into an independent release, so presumably it has no bearing on the 3 album BMG deal. One assumes that if it sells in numbers that make a release of this nature viable, others may follow which would definitely make this a win-win scenario. Windswept may yet get his prayers answered!

Happy listening everyone.

Although....
"features the full set played across Bryan's 2015 world-wide live dates"...
....errm no it doesn't, unless the tracklisting at bf.com is wrong.
No problem if it doesn't but a bit of precision (for once) wouldn't go amiss.

His first solo live CD, but only if the live DVDs don't count, which may be a bit hairsplitting but nevermind.

I just ordered mine. Having been at an amazing show in Hamburg and having listened to the entire Munich concert on the radio just recently, I know the CD is worth its price. And I hope this is going to be the start of a series of independent live releases. And I'm still stubbornly keeping up hopes that an official live release from the 2013 BFO "fandango"(™Windswept) is yet to come. :D

Totally agree. That Munich radio broadcast was great and bodes well for that live CD.

Live in Lyon had a deluxe DVD/CD release so technically would that not have been his first solo live CD?

8-)

I'd say so, too, but on the other hand the Lyon CD has never been available independently of the DVD, so in a way it doesn't fall under the category of a CD release.

I'm not that keen on live recordings, I loved viva but the mix of concert venues was offputting.

Bryan in Paris was great, but hey it was only half the gig, the sky tv (and I despise sky tv) show of his atgb Vienna concert was superb and was not edited, shame the video tape I made (remember them?) Is long gone.

With any luck, this CD will hear me shouting "Gerrrrriinn son!!" at the intro and end of Beauty Queen....I got tutted at by folks around me....Jesus.
