I've listened to this a few times tonight and I think he sounds in good voice, possibly the best vocal on all the Olympia tracks I've heard so far.

The video on Youtube of the "Making of STTS" indicates that the vocal track was recorded quite a while back (my guess is around the time of Taxi) which helps explain why the quality of his voice is so good.

The video is interesting in a number of respects, one being that I think it's the first time I've ever heard Ollie T. speak! But more interestingly it makes mention of all the various Star Collaborators (e.g. Flea, Jonny G, David Gilmour) but notable it their absence is ANY MENTION of PhilM, AndyM or Eno. Hmmm. This is all the more interesting in that STTS is the one track on the album that includes all three of these Roxy members.

For some reason, the idea of Olympia being a kind of Roxy Reunion (something that was being trumpeted not so long ago) is apparently now being downplayed. Hmmm. I wonder what changed...

For what it's worth, I've listened to STTS more than a few times now and it is definitely a good track. I can see why it's a track that they are starting to promote as Oct 28th approaches. It's a bit long to be real Radio Friendly, but I can see this getting some spins on BBC 4

There has been so much speculation. One the one hand we are told about all the hard work behind this album, and that this will be Bryan`s finest hour.

On the other hand, many things point towards that this is a "bits and pieces" album, just like Frantic. Luckily, I don`t think it will be "just like Frantic". All the "bits and pieces" are smoothed over by added studio work, so that it all sounds coherent. Nevertheless, it looks like a "clearing of the shelf" of tracks that have been lying around for some while, making ready for the big, big, Roxy release.
