I don't think this will be popular on this Forum

Thanks Avalon Eyes - was just about to post the same.

I don't know what to make of this. Is it to be download only or a physical release? Why is it being released when we've already had the Special Edition? I'd have thought nearly two years on from the original release date, Avonmore would have pretty much run its course by now.

Yep, but not everybody's bought that ;) I for my part have skipped the SE because it doesn't contain enough new material to be interesting for me (in other words: I couldn't afford it) - so I'll happily buy the remix album.

Btw I like how the Bollywood Strings come out in that Hidden Orchestra Remix of Send In The Clowns - nomen est omen!

In light of the Ferry 2015 live album, which I still don't have, the expected 1974 solo live album, and of course the oft- promised and eagerly anticipated Roxy Music super deluxe edition, I thought it odd to put this out as a release, especially after the Avonmore Special Edition last year. A lot of the tracks are available on SoundCloud, so this is just mopping up.

'Avonmore (The Remix Album)' invites a host of guest producers to re-work the material, resulting in an astonishing varied selection of interpretations.'

Sounds fantastic! The hidden orchestra remix is varied indeed, but as someone who cannot get enough of the remixes, bring them on. :)

What a privilege to be given access to the studio masters and then come up with your own interpretations.

Just adding a bit of balance to the anti remix crowd.

Latest on Facebook -
Can't wait until August 19th? Listen to the justin robertson remix of Driving Me Wild on Soundlcloud now, and pre-order the full 30-track 'Avonmore - The Remix Album' on iTunes at http://smarturl.it/BFamremix"

I know I'm ageing remorselessly, but does anyone regard this as anything other than noise?

Another vinyl EP. I doubt even the completist in me will go for this - I can't stand dub mixes.

 Really? I absolutely love Leo Zero's Dub of Loop de Li - one of my absolute favourites, I've been listening to it almost every day since it was first published on soundcloud. I just love how it brings out the bass.
