In short - amazing. I have recently posted about how Ferry's voice has diminished in power, range, etc. - and I was basing such thoughts on his recent albums...concert footage...and my experiences at the 2011 LA and 2014 San Diego concerts. In both of those shows - especially the San Diego show - I thought his voice was less impressive than before (most Ferry fans would agree) - but something was different last night...

Ferry was in fantastic form. His voice sounded excellent. When he belted out Dylan's "Don't think twice..." - he did not have the accompaniment of the two back-up singers...and he nailed it. Not only did he sing wonderfully...but he seemed to have more energy, charisma, personality, even a sense of pure joy of just being on stage than before. I was blown away. The signature gliding and swaying around the stage - which I have witnessed many times since I first saw him in the RM 1976 Siren tour - returned along with the suave grace and stagecraft he is known and adored for...

One thing I noted that was different and improved - was his ENERGY! He sang, smiled like his old self - none of the aloof quality that seemed to present in recent years. He actually took the microphone off the stand this time. He did not do that in the 2011 and 2014 performances I saw.

I don't know how else to describe the pure joy I experienced in front of the maestro last night. He still rules.

I agree. An absolutely wonderful show. What a way to finish the tour. The 2011 show BF seem pretty tired but this time he was on the money the whole show. I liked how he finished with BEB and EOY rather than stick JG at the end. My highlight was STTY. The lights, the sounds are absolutely not coming across in the YouTube clips I've seen. It was a stoker of a song. One thing I noticed was BF's suit was much bluer in the video than looking straight on. Looked like a grayish blue to me. Great show and I love the tour book.
