While BF's website still carries a message stating that the shop is currently being moved, it has in fact opened at its new location (I saw the news today on Facebook):

https://store.bryanferry.com/

The bad news is that some items have already sold out and been removed, while others are still pictured, but are unavailable when you try to add them to your shopping cart. :(

Having made a purchase and seen a customer service phone number for Townsend Music Ltd in my PayPal receipt, I gave them a call and received confirmation that some items had only been available in very limited quantities (e.g. 2 or 3) when the store opened.

Among the bargains which have been and gone already are:

*the 6 x 10" Jazz Age vinyl folio collection (£60; not shown as signed, but I think they were supposed to be?);

*12" Jazz Factory remix of Alphaville b/w Me Oh My (£10);

*2000 Jazz Gala programme from North Sea Jazz Festival (£8);

*2007 Dylanesque tour coffee mugs (£5);

*Introducing Mamouna promo CD EP (£8);

*XL t-shirts with Olympia & Slave To Love covers as logo (£5).

However, when I last looked there were still some interesting items left, including:

*Olympia super deluxe 3 disc book edition (£60, but signed);

*Country Life umbrellas (£40);

*Frantic DVD Audio (£10);

*2015 Avonmore tour t-shirts (£5, most sizes).

Is it a special Dylanesque vinyl edition which is so rare, or is the Dylanesque vinyl edition rare in general?

(I'm asking because some years ago I have bought the Dylanesque vinyl at ebay for 2,50€ or so... do I have a hidden gem in my collection?)

Dylanesque is very hard to find on vinyl; second only to ATGB; you have both a hidden treasure and a bargain, LD. ;)

Dylanesque wasn't in the store when I first had a look, Herci; do you mind me asking what the price was? I'm rather green with envy... :mrgreen:

Wow, thanks Gary, I wasn't aware of that... it's currently 863,96€ on amazon.de and 1,164.88£ on amazon.co.uk :shock:

Should I distort the prices and offer mine at 799€?

(But that people are asking these fantasy prices doesn't necessarily mean that anybody really pays this much.)

(hidden treasure is the expression I was looking for :oops: )

I think that's a valid point, LD; anything collectible is only worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay.

I've seen the Dylanesque LP auctioned for under £100, but that price tag is still fairly scary! :shock:

I stopped buying vinyl for a while after Bete Noire, but have bought Taxi, Mamouna, Frantic & Olympia over the past year or two (plus Avonmore on the day of release). Although I paid about 50% under average market value for three of them, they were still far more expensive than when they were released because vinyl is pressed in far smaller quantities than it was in the 70s & 80s.

If you picked one up for that price, Herci, then I'm jealous of your luck! ;)

Out of curiosity, how was it marked as a promo and did it have the full inner and outer sleeves? Thanks.

It's got an inner sleeve yes, just on the barcode it got a white sticker. (Like a price tag) that says promotional copy not for sale.
And the outer jacket is damaged on top. Ripped open a bit. Just like my signed aphaville 12 inch. I assume they have been stored in a stack and they are some leftovers and all of the vinyls might have this damage. No seal either.
