Little Jimmy Scott had such an unusual voice and such great phrasing. Also what a band! Love the brass section. W2 thinks our hero will puff his chest out when he hears this one. Salutations W2 |

And it's a reminder, if any were needed , what a great lyricist Ferry is. |

He is a fabulous lyricist and it constantly puzzles me that he is not more covered. That said, when the originals are just so good, often quite avant garde and so well produced, it must be really difficult for other musicians to know where to go. Conversely, he doesn't have the same problem. He just picks songs he loves, sprinkles Ferry Dust on them and invariably comes up with something new, different and better and makes them completely his own. Quel tallent! a bientôt, W2 |

Cher avalon_eyes, W2's FerryFix is on 21st June, the original date, mais he thanks you for thinking of him. His tailor is yet to deliver his jacket. It's linen so pray for good weather and that our hero keeps Windswept in the set list. Salutations, W2 |

It was Amazing Is it just me Or does Chris Spedding look like A Distinguished Scientist Yes.... Roxologist.... Cher Teresa, Mais oui, Monsieur Spedding is looking very studious and your friend looks very happy. Chris's sartorial choice is sensible for the mature rocker. Clearly the head to toe leather he sported for the 'In Your Mind' tour is no longer an option. Mark you, I hear Honor Blackman can still squeeze into her's ! Happily our hero nails it with his A&S blue cord. 'More Than This' the set list looks great. Particularly the first 17 numbers albeit Windswept does wish Geordie's Favourite Son would change his finale. As W2 has previously mentioned, it's becoming a bit like a Bond film - we all know what we are going to get and it would be a great challenge to come up with an alternative climax - peut etre a subject for a thread? Windswept's preparations for Hampton continue at a pace. His tailor is making final alterations and his trainer tells him that providing he continues his stretching exercises he will, alcohol permitting, be able to manage a full Nijinsky pose for 'Do The Strand'. Mrs W is not so sure. She has an ambulance on standby! Salutations, W2 |
