Looking forward to the Vegas show this Thursday. Hope he keeps In Your Mind in the set list as it is the only "new" song from previous set list I saw in NY a few months ago.
Also hope the Hotel/Casino can do some late promotions as the venue is barely 50% sold as of today.

Are you sure you mean "In Your Mind"? I'm not aware that IYM has been played on this tour - or any tour in recent years... But maybe I missed something...

A 50% house is not good. Perhaps there will be a late surge of lticket sales, but my sense is that the people who want to see BF have already bought their tix and there aren't a whole lot of people who will make an impulse buy at the last minute... It will be what it will be...

Cher cp15938,

Windswept wishes you a tres bon soiree in Vegas.

Hopefully the hotels will get behind ticket sales or comp some of those high rollers. Albeit their dress sense may stretch the notion that Roxology is a broad church!

With regard to the set list, W2 thinks you may have conflated 'In Your Mind' for 'What Goes On' . Forensic analysis shows this to be the only change since Hampton Court albeit he did sing a duet of 'If There Is Something' with Judith Owen in Minnesota.

Perhaps this could be a new direction? W2 likes Owen. She does a very creditable take on 'More Than This' and her version of Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water' is smoking.

W2 thinks he can feel a thread coming on ....

a bientôt and have a great fandango,

Windswept

Very Interesting. I had never made the connection between What Goes On and In Your Mind lyrically, but BAM! now it seems so obvious. This is why I enjoy the VRM Forum!

I am a big fan of WGO but I always thought that BF's studio version is too dry and sterile. It is not one of Waddy W's finer or more inspired tracks.

Speaking of WW, it may be that Can't Let Go is back in the setlist because WW will join BF on the tune during the LA gig.

In my opinion, the CLG that appears on BF Live 2015 (with WW) is truly remarkable. WW is GREAT and the track by itself is is worth the price of the 2015 Live CD.

Speaking of Live 2015, WS do you have any thoughts on it? IMNSHO it is a good album that, while there are more than a few reminders that BF's voice is not what it used to be, is very very listenable. It got a lot of "playing time" in my Subaru this summer!!!

On DCJ''s recommendation, I'm going to order Live 2015.
That's at least 2 tracks mentioned by VRM members that are ' worth the price of the album alone" . Loop de li being the other.

Cher DCJ,

Windswept violently agrees. The live album is good and is something he listens to a lot. If it plays well in a Subaru imagine how it sounds in a Range Rover !

That said, the album has a strange effect on W2. He often finds himself either reverting to the Avonmore LP mid-way through or alternatively playing it directly afterwards. The reason being the shortness of the tracks. 'Avonmore' and 'Loop Di Li' being particularly irritating. You are just getting into them and it's over. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am! It's virtually like the live album is an appetiser for the real thing.

W2 would love to know how the live album has worked as a business model with it only being available through the shop and at shows. He suspects it's worked rather well. Particularly given the number of fandangos our hero has had since the LP's launch !

Windswept wonders what will be next up on the release front ?

Salutations,

W2
