Elegantly Ageing Hipsters,

As Forensic Ferryistas you will know that our hero is no stranger to the duet.

Over the years he's played tonsil tango with the likes of Jane Birkin, Carla Bruni, Charles Aznavour, Antony Hegerty and most recently Judith Owen.

Some (Jane Birkin) have had merit. Others (Carla Bruni) not so much. But whatever one thinks of efforts to date, he has never scaled the heights of the duet in the way that say Robert Plant & Alison Krauss did with 'Raising Sand'.

This thread will allow thinking Roxologists to propose the perfect vocal partner and a track on the duets album.

As it his thread, W2 has nominated himself to go first and his submission is :

Bryan Ferry & Lana Del Ray interpreting Richard Thompson's 'For Shame Of Doing Wrong'

'I'm sorry for the things I've said, the things I've done.
I'm sorry for the restless thief I've been.
Please don't make me pay for my deceiving heart.
Just turn up your lamp and let me in.'

The thought of this duo sprinkling Ferrydust and LA noir over this number shivers Windswept's musical timbers.

The thread is now open for track two submissions.

Salutations,

Windswept

Hipsters,
'The Pale Moon' has made a creative and tasteful suggestion.
'Wild Is The Wind' is a beautiful song and Bowie's version is phenomenal and it would make a great duet.
However, given the different alignment of the stars, this recording will have to wait and hopefully for a good long while.
Salutations,
W2
